This guide specifies guidelines for setting up a merchant environment for iOS and Android apps.
Setting up the correct merchant environment in the Beta iOS app
Follow these steps to configure the merchant environment in the beta version of our iOS app:
1. Install the Beta App
Download and install the beta app from TestFlight.
2. Access the app settings
Open your iPhone’s Settings.
Scroll down or use the search bar at the top to find the beta app.
3. Configure the merchant environment
Tap the app to open its settings.
Locate the
Merchant Environment
field. This setting determines which environment the app connects to:Development
Staging
Production (default)
Note
If you leave this field blank, the app will automatically connect to Production.
4. Enter the desired environment
Type the environment name you want to use (such as staging).
Note
The naming of the environment may differ depending on your specific configuration as defined with NewStore. If you are unsure, contact NewStore support.
5. Relaunch the Beta App
Close the app completely and reopen it.
A red banner is displayed at the top indicating which environment you are connected to.
Important
If no banner is present, the app is connected to Production environment.
Setting up the correct merchant environment in the Beta Android app
1. Install the Beta app
Download and install the beta app from the invitation you receive via email.
When the app is installed, there are two icons that are added to your phone. One of these is the app, while the second one is a corresponding developer menu.
2. Access the developer menu
Find the developer menu under the installed apps.
You can also use the search function to look for it.
3. Configure the merchant environment
Tap on the app name to open its settings.
Locate the
Merchant Environment
field. This setting determines which environment the app will connect to:Development
Staging
Production (default)
Note
If you leave this field blank, the app is automatically connected to Production.
4. Enter the desired environment
Type the environment name you want to use (for example, staging).
