Associate App push notifications

Users can receive push notifications in the Associate App to stay informed about incoming tasks across several business flows. Notifications help store teams respond faster and stay on top of their responsibilities.

To start receiving notifications, users must enable them in the app and on their device settings.


Enabling notifications

  1. Go to Associate App > Settings > Notifications to turn on app-level notifications.

  2. Tap Manage in Device Settings to open your phone’s system-level settings. Ensure push notifications for Associate App are enabled.

  3. When enabled, the relevant task screen is displayed to the associate when they tap on a push notification (exceptions may apply).

Supported notification flows

Notifications are supported across 4 business flows as specified below:

Runner

  • New Task Submitted


    Notifies users (typically stock room staff) when a Runner request is created.
    Recommended for users fulfilling Runner requests from the sales floor.

  • Task Accepted


    Notifies the requester when a Runner task is accepted.
    Recommended for users who place Runner requests.

  • Task Completed


    Notifies the requester when the task is fulfilled and on its way.
    Recommended for users who place Runner requests.

  • Product Exception


    Alerts the requester when an item in the request can't be located.
    Recommended for users who place Runner requests.

  • Note Added


    Notifies:

    • The requester when the receiver adds a note.

    • The receiver when the requester adds a note.

      Recommended for both users who place Runner requests and who fulfill the requests.


Store fulfillment

  • Order Received – Regular


    Notifies when a standard (non-priority) fulfillment order is received.

    Recommended for users fulfilling customer orders.

  • Order Received – Priority


    Notifies when a priority fulfillment order is received.

    Recommended for users fulfilling customer orders.


Self checkout

Assistance Requested

Notifies store staff when a customer requests help during self-checkout.

Recommended for users who assists the Self Checkout.


Reservations

New Pending Reservation

Notifies store associates when a reservation is created by a third party (via integration) and is in Pending status. Tapping this notification takes the user to the Reservations listing page in the Associate App.

Recommended for users who reserve products for shoppers.
